IPL-3 has reached a stage where the teams have their gloves and masks off.
Truth to tell, the Indian Premier League Twenty20 tournament has been rather addictive to cricket lovers in supporting their favorite teams, and I am no exception.
And here goes my painting for this IPL!
Acrylic paint on chart.
Thanks to IPL,Over the past six weeks, it has given a plenty of fun with daily telecasts, plenty of sixes and fours, thrilling finishes and some memorable individual performances, the IPL fire did catch on and how!
Hoping if we can make it for the semis!!!

The sketch and a photograph print out I use for reference

"his face was an art in itself" as i would like to call this sketch. And here,I wanted to show the progress I made in sketching MJ.
… about MJ the image, which we know something about, not Michael Jackson the person, about whom we know nothing.
MJ belongs in a long and inclusive tradition of great artistic personae, a tradition that spans all of the fine arts, and all of history. When you first hear names like Mark Twain, Oscar Wilde, Andy Warhol, Werner Herzog, Salvador Dali, Walt Whitman, Lord Byron, Allen Ginsberg, Hunter S. Thompson,Woody Allen . . . you’re probably more likely to think first of the persona and only later to think of the work. For many artists, their Life is their greatest Work. It’s the Life that provides the inspiration to later generations, shapes our conception of personality and what is and isn’t possible in our own Life.
The hairs were made using the edges of rubber.
Compare the image with the one on the top.
I enjoyed sketching this.. If you can observe, you can well find that there is no line as such fixed to describe the nose or mouth or mike or the hands. It is the effective use of shading. Its more of shading than to call it a sketching.
A closer look at details...
And here's the finished portraiture.

This pencil Sketch is a tribute to the legend.

REMEMBERING MICHAEL'S BIRTHDAY as I would like to name this pencil sketch.
Michael Jackson was born the seventh of nine children on August 29, 1958 in Gary
On Aug. 29, the King of Pop would have turned 51,The rain didn't stop Michael Jackson fans from celeating his birthday in Prospect Park Saturday, where thousands of one-gloved moonwalkers remembered the King of Pop.
I read from somewhere,Michael Jackson has celebrated his 50th birthday by watching children's cartoons .
“If you enter this world knowing you are loved and you leave this world knowing the same, then everything that happens in between can be dealt with.”
-Michael Jackson
